Greater Hartford Mini Maker Faire Saturday, October 6, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Old State House, Hartford Connecticut Business and Industry Association’s Education and Workforce Partnership is presenting the fourth annual Greater Hartford Mini Maker Faire, an event that’s free and open to the public. This free, family-friendly celebration of invention and creativity is open to people of all ages who are interested in creating, making, building, innovating, tinkering, hacking, engineering, designing, or connecting. This is a great event where children can learn and explore the STEAM curriculum—or even enter a project themselves, especially if they are members of their school’s robotic team or some other group that embraces science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. The event is free but please register here. Those interested in showcasing their products and innovations can apply to be a maker on the Maker Faire website. Individuals, groups, schools, clubs, libraries, and others are all eligible to be makers.
