Each participant has the opportunity to deliver a 30-second introduction to share their business, and two Chamber members are featured each session with in-depth Five-Minute Spotlight presentations. The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Fridays each month at the Noah Webster Library in Blue Back Square.
Spearheaded through the Business Resources Committee, PM Connections convenes the 1st Thursday of each month. The program offers open networking and 30-second intros from all attendees. It features one 15–20 minute “Business Booster” presentation, providing brief, practical seminars on topics of interest to our members. Previous topics have included Leveraging AI, Business Law Basics, and Social Media Marketing.
The Business After Hours series takes place on the third Thursday of each month, spotlighting a different Chamber member business. Enjoy delicious food, drinks, and an engaging atmosphere while connecting with fellow business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals from a variety of industries.
Special Business After Hours include the Spotlight Award Winner Reveal Party, an annual Halloween Spooky Soiree, and the WH Chamber Holiday Party.
FLOW-tation Lunch, hosted by our FLOW Young Professionals Committee, meets on the second Friday of each month for an informal, drop-in networking lunch. Each month, we gather at a different Chamber member restaurant, creating a relaxed setting to build connections, support local businesses, and expand your professional circle. Visit our events calendar for the next location.
The Minority Business Network hosts the 4th Friday Pizza Lunch, an informal monthly drop-in networking gathering held at Luna Pizza. 💡 Helpful Tip: Committees aren’t just about meetings, they’re where real relationships and leadership happen.

The Membership Committee ensures every Chamber member, from brand-new entrepreneurs to seasoned professionals, feels welcomed, supported, and connected. Its members serve as liaisons, guiding newcomers through the benefits of membership and answering questions along the way. Monthly in-person sessions foster ongoing communication, feedback, and brainstorming on how to enhance member experience and retention. By cultivating a strong, inclusive network, the committee helps maximize value for all members and strengthens the Chamber’s overall community.

The Economic Development Committee plays a central role in supporting growth, investment, and innovation throughout West Hartford. Meeting monthly, the committee serves as a conduit between the Chamber, town officials, and local businesses, keeping members informed about key policy updates, new developments, and infrastructure projects. Its efforts culminate in the Annual Economic Development Update, offering stakeholders a clear view of the town’s economic trajectory. By identifying challenges and creating solutions, the committee drives prosperity and long-term success across the business community.
The Chamber has a process for businesses to seek support for a particular issue they may be facing. On an individual basis, the committee invites businesses to submit an application for support. Concerns related to zoning, policy or regulation are considered on a case-by-case basis.
The Future Leaders of West Hartford (FLOW) committee is dedicated to supporting the growth of young professionals through meaningful connections, leadership development, and community engagement. With a full calendar of events, from casual networking to impactful volunteer projects, FLOW offers a supportive environment where emerging leaders can thrive both personally and professionally. The “Local Leaders Series” features an established and accomplished member of the local community sharing their unique journey to success in the spirit of inspiring the next generation.
By collaborating with the YP Collective, FLOW expands regional access to valuable resources and opportunities, helping members build strong networks and lasting impact within West Hartford and beyond.

The Business Resource Committee empowers local entrepreneurs and business leaders by offering educational tools and practical support. With their curated “Business Booster” seminars, roundtables, and expert panels, the committee creates learning opportunities that directly address real-world challenges. One standout offering is the New Business Checklist, a guided resource that simplifies the startup process and connects members to the tools they need for success. Through its initiatives, the committee strengthens professional development and equips Chamber members to grow with confidence and clarity.

The Minority Business Network (MBN) champions diversity, visibility, and opportunity for professionals from underrepresented racial, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. Through focused events and initiatives, the committee provides a platform for minority entrepreneurs to share experiences, gain insights, and overcome systemic barriers. Signature programs like “Colorful Conversations” address disparities in critical areas such as healthcare, education, and employment, fostering open dialogue and community-wide awareness. MBN is a key driver in creating a more inclusive, supportive, and equitable business landscape in West Hartford.

The Community Engagement Committee is the engine behind many of the Chamber’s most inclusive and impactful public initiatives. From coordinating the beloved Holiday Stroll to working with schools, and facilitating wellness fairs and initiatives, the committee builds bridges between residents, schools, nonprofits, and local businesses. With each event and partnership, the committee promotes civic pride, accessibility, and social connection, bringing West Hartford’s diverse community together in celebration and collaboration. It cultivates an environment where all voices are welcomed and empowered.
