Over 100 Years of History
The West Hartford Chamber of Commerce, established in 1908, has been a cornerstone of the town's economic and community development for over a century. Originally formed as the West Hartford Business Men’s Association, the organization was officially incorporated as the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce in 1913.
From its inception, the Chamber has been dedicated to fostering economic growth and enhancing the quality of life in West Hartford. Its mission is to encourage the development of business and support a thriving, inclusive community. Over the decades, the Chamber has evolved to meet the changing needs of its members, offering a wide range of programs and services to support local businesses of all sizes and sectors.
Today, the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce is one of the largest and most active business support organizations in the Greater Hartford region, representing over 500 businesses and non-profits across more than 40 towns. The Chamber provides numerous networking opportunities such as AM Connections, Business After Hours, and ribbon-cutting ceremonies to help members build strong professional relationships and drive business growth.
In addition to its robust calendar of networking events, the Chamber offers impactful marketing opportunities through its annual Community Guide & Member Directory, digital advertising platforms, and social media channels. Signature community events like the Annual Holiday Stroll, and WeHa Wellness Expo, showcase local businesses while engaging thousands of residents and visitors.
The Chamber is deeply committed to inclusivity and innovation. It actively supports diversity through initiatives like the Minority Business Network and fosters future leadership through programs such as Future Leaders of West Hartford (FLOW).
