ANNUAL
“CRUISING
THE CENTER”
West
Hartford, CT
– The West
Hartford
Chamber of
Commerce
announced
today that
their spring
kick-off
event,
Cruising The
Center, is
back! This
classic and
antique car
show will be
held on
LaSalle Road
on
Wednesday,
May 21, 2008
from 5:30 PM
– 8:00 PM.
Families are
invited to
come and see
over two
hundred
vintage cars
including
street rods,
customs, and
classic
automobiles
from the
early 1900’s
through
1983. Enjoy
50’s style
cruising
music as
well as
All-American
hot dogs,
hamburgers,
soft drinks,
and ice
cream. New
to the event
this year is
live music
in the
Square at
Blue Back
Square!
After
attendees
have
strolled La
Salle they
may head
down to Blue
Back Square
to enjoy
live music
by the Nifty
Fifties from
7:00 PM –
10:00 PM.
Cruising The
Center is
organized by
the West
Hartford
Chamber of
Commerce in
conjunction
with
Connecticut
Street
Legends auto
club.
People
wishing to
include
their
vintage
vehicle in
the event
may meet at
the
municipal
lot on the
corner of La
Salle and
Arapahoe
Roads at
4:30 PM for
line up.
Dash plaques
will be
given to the
first 200
vintage
cars.
Trophies
will be
awarded in
several
categories.
No
motorcycles,
bicycles or
burnouts are
allowed. The
rain date
for this
event is
Wednesday,
May 28. For
